2018 Tom Peters Award Recipient

The Ontario Chapter awarded the Tom Peters Student Bursary and Industry Trophy at the Eleventh Annual Ontario Mine Reclamation Symposium and Field Trip in Wawa, June 19th.  The Student Bursary was awarded to Katlyn Mitchell with Laurentian University for her “An evaluation of silica-Bacillus microencapsulation for reducing acid mine drainage from sulfur waste rock in cold climates”.  The Industry Trophy was awarded to Golder for their work “Bat friendly progressive rehabilitation of the historic Edison Mine”.
