CLRA National 2021 Awards: Introducing the IN-TECH Reclamation Award
CLRA National 2021 Awards The IN-TECH Reclamation Award (Formerly the Noranda Land Reclamation Award) is one of three prestigious awards of the Canadian Land Reclamation Association / Association Canadienne de Réhabilitation des Sites Dégradés (CLRA/ACRSD). This award celebrates innovative techniques that advance the practice of reclamation in Canada within any sector of industry (i.e mining, forestry, oil & gas).
The award is presented in recognition of outstanding contributions of the nominee in the areas of professional practice, teaching, research and/or regulatory development as they relate to innovation within the profession of land reclamation in Canada. Nominees should be widely recognized for their contributions in the field of land reclamation. The award will be presented to a group and/or an individual.

The efforts for which the individual is nominated do not need to span a major portion of the recipient’s career and may be project focused. A recipient may have made major contributions to CLRA/ACRSD, which has led to the advancement of the association. The recipient may be an individual or agency, institution or company.
The award honours Linda Jones, for significant service to the Canadian Land Reclamation Association / Association Canadienne de Réhabilitation des Sites Dégradés (CLRA/ACRSD) as secretary treasurer for over twenty years. Linda was specifically interested in promoting student participation in CLRA events and membership in CLRA.
Two awards are presented annually to students in a reclamation related program at a Canadian institution in recognition of excellence in academic studies which advance the theory, knowledge or practice of land reclamation. One award will be for a poster presentation and one for an oral presentation. Each award will be for $1000 and a one-year membership in the CLRA.
This award honours Dr. Jack Winch principal founder and inaugural President of the Canadian Land Reclamation Association/Association Canadienne de Réhabilitation des Sites Dégradés (CLRA/ACRSD).
The award acknowledges the efforts of Early Career Reclamation Professionals. The award is presented annually at the CLRA National Conference to an individual in recognition of their outstanding contribution to reclamation research and practice.
