CLRA Alberta Welcomes Two New Faces to the Board of Directors
Welcome on Board
The Alberta Chapter of the CLRA would like to welcome and congratulate our two newest Board members, Liana Phoenix and Chad Green. Liana and Chad will be Directors on the Board and will be helping support the exciting year ahead with new strategic challenges, stay tuned for upcoming information and events.
Liana Phoenix is the Business Development Manager with AGAT Laboratories within the Environmental Division. Liana has worked within the environmental sector since 2010, and has had the opportunity to work alongside incredible industry professionals, gaining both exposure and experience in many different facets. She is energetic, driven, and is excited to volunteer with the Alberta Chapter of the CLRA.
Liana has always been keen to volunteer her time both personally and professionally. She has sorted food for the Calgary Food Bank, served lunches at the Calgary Drop in Center, and volunteered at the South Health Campus Community Gardens. Liana has always been willing to organize an event of any kind which is no doubt why she jumped at the opportunity to help carry the torch with the PINC’s organization for two years.
She has two beautiful little girls at home so volunteering has taken on a new shape and has most recently been focused on things such as Timbits soccer and the Calgary Board of Education. Being involved as well as being a team player remains important to her.
Chad Green is a Professional Agrologist with over 20 years experience in the contaminant remediation and reclamation practice sectors, currently an Environmental Construction Analyst with Trans Mountain. Chad has an Environmental Technology Diploma from New Brunswick Community College, a B.Sc. from the University of Alberta in Environmental Conservation Sciences in Land Reclamation and an M.Sc. in Environmental Management from Royal Roads.
He is currently working in the midstream sector and has worked in the both the upstream and downstream oil and gas sectors as well as for transportation, insurance, commercial and industrial sectors. Chad is a current volunteer with the CLRA and since 2017 he has authored “the Green Retort” a recurring editorial article for Canadian Reclamation, the CLRA biannual Publication. He also has been providing support to the Alberta Chapter since 2016 on the abstract review committee. Chad is a valuable asset to the CLRA Board and is looking forward to new challenges.
