Stephanie DeRuiter was born and raised in Alberta, attended post-secondary at the University of Victoria, and currently works from her home in New Brunswick as an Intermediate Environmental Scientist for Story Environmental Inc., an environmental consulting company in northern Ontario. She is an environmental scientist and GIS Technician with over 6 years of experience in environmental consulting. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Victoria where she held student positions with Parks Canada and the University of Victoria Herbarium. Her more recent experience includes environmental monitoring, permitting, regulatory report, and project management. She is involved with several historical mine rehabilitation projects and is looking forward to learning new ways to reclaim historical landscapes through her involvement with CLRA.
