Topic: The Application of Geophysical Methods and Remote Sensing for Environmental Site Characterization Studies

This presentation will discuss how geophysical methods are used to map the shallow sub-surface and, thus be a very cost-effective tool for Environmental Site Assessments. Some of the advantages of geophysical methods as a part of a site investigation include the relatively low cost, non-intrusiveness, and collection of real-time data. Methods include Electromagnetics (EM), Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT), Magnetics, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), and downhole borehole logging.
